This policy explains how the Paddle Sensor mobile app
processes your personal data. By using the app you accept the processing
described here.
1. What data we collect
Account details: first name, last name, email address.
If you sign in with Apple or Google, these come from that provider.
Profile details (optional): phone, height, weight,
date of birth, gender, emergency contact, club.
Training data: date, duration, distance, speed, GPS
route and — if you use the sensor — derived measurements such as
stroke count, stroke rate, power, consistency and fatigue.
Location: used to record the route, distance and speed
of your session, and to show your position on the map and the wind
where you are. While a session is running, recording continues with
your phone locked; during that time iOS shows a location indicator at
the top of the screen and Android shows a “Session in progress”
notification. Your location is not tracked after the session ends or
while the app is closed.
Technical error reports: when the app crashes or an
error occurs, the device model, operating system and app version, and
technical details of the error are sent to an error-monitoring
service. These reports do not contain your name, email address,
location or training data and are not linked to your account.
Share photo (optional): a photo you take or pick from
your gallery is processed only on your device to create a share card.
It is not uploaded to Paddle Sensor servers and is not stored by
us.
2. Why we process data
To record your sessions and show your statistics and records
To create share images (whether you share them is entirely up to
you)
To give the managers of a club you belong to in-club statistics
To build the app's overall leaderboard
3. What other users can see
Your name, your club (if any) and your total distance / stroke count
appear on the overall leaderboard. You can hide your name by turning off
Profile → “Show My Name on the Leaderboard”; you then
appear as “Hidden User”.
If you are a member of a club, that club's managers and coaches can see
your training statistics. Apart from that, other users cannot access your
raw training records.
4. Where data is stored
Data is hosted on secure server infrastructure in the European Union.
Training records are stored on your device first and synced to the server
when a connection is available. Security rules restrict access to your
account.
To show the wind and the name of the place you are in, your approximate
location is sent to weather and place-name services; for the map image,
the area you are in is sent to a map service. These services are used
only to return the requested information; your account and name are not
sent.
We do not share your data with anyone for advertising and we do not sell it.
5. Your rights
Export: Profile → “Export My Data” gives you all your
data as a file.
Deletion: Profile → “Permanently Delete My Account”
permanently deletes your account, your sessions and your uploaded
sensor recordings. If you cannot access the app, you can use the
account deletion request page.
This cannot be undone.
Correction: you can change your profile details in
the app at any time.
6. Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect data from this age group.
